Why do we worship?
We are creatures who are made to worship – it is part of our nature. The question for all of us is what or who will we worship. What or who will animate our lives, energize our dreams and monopolize our attention? For those of us who respond to the loving grace of God through Jesus Christ, the simple answer is God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. However, simple doesn’t mean easy.
We believe responding to God’s call and coming to worship Him weekly with His people is a deeply formative practice that gives us the best chance to continually reset, submit and align our lives with God and His plan – in a truly joy-filled way. We celebrate God’s story, his good news in community.
Our service of worship is intended to be a snapshot of a life of worship – a dialogue between God and His people – where God reveals and we respond and where each one of us is called to live together in the kingdom.
Join us Sunday Mornings to honor the King!
Our offering of worship is held at 10:15 am at New Life Church ~ 1350 North 7th Street ~ Grand Junction, CO
What to expect Sunday Mornings at 10:15 am
Expect a meeting with God and His people that is intimate, loving, reverent and a bit chaotic. Every Sunday morning we have a time of gathering before God, singing, reading scripture, praying and responding. Sermons are prepared and shared by members of our preaching group on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays. On 1st and 3rd Sundays during our normal sermon time, we split into groups to discuss and begin to practice the ideas from the sermon shared the week before. On the Sundays we have discussion, we also enjoy a meal together as part of our worship. All are invited to come – we always have enough!
Kingdom Kids
Everyone is welcome to attend our worship services, but we offer a time of children’s worship during the service. After a time of gathering and singing, children pre-school through 4th grade are dismissed to a classroom for an age-appropriate “Kingdom Kids” time.
Infants
Our nursery is available on an as needed basis. We have volunteers available each Sunday to share God’s love with your family. We also have a room connected to the sanctuary where you can be with your child and still participate in the service.
Parking
Parking is available in our church’s parking lot, directly behind (east of) the church building and along the street.
